Wow, it's not Bush's fault anymore!

But it's not Obama's either.  Did anyone see the pregame show for the Super Bowl where they talked on and on about Katrina and then it happened.... They pinned it still not being all rebuilt on Bobby Jindal.  Before it was all Bush's fault and now that Obama has been president a year and really done nothing with all his magic dust... we have to blame someone and how convenient is it that their governor has an R behind his name.

The White House wants your help! Seems some pesky people in the land of free speech may be passing around emails downing the health care plan. They might not even have all the facts straight so the White House wants you to watch out for them and then report it.

Vacation Time

I saw that on the Yahoo homepage that Obama is going on vacation. My first thought wasn't even about the money, nope, that came second. My first thought was, don't most people have to work at their job for a year before they get a week of vacation.

It's hard to pick the perfect escape when you're the leader of the free world. But word has it that the Obamas have found the hideaway they need: A 28-acre, $20-million property on Martha's Vineyard Island, off the coast of Massachusetts, called Blue Heron Farm. The 10,000-square-foot retreat has everything a president wanting some downtime needs, including a swimming pool, basketball court, and golf tee. And it is even dog-friendly.

The Obama family will pay its own way for a one-week getaway at the end of August, and it's not cheap: Rents reportedly run from $35-$50,000 a week for similar homes. (Not surprisingly, the town of Chilmark, where they're headed, was voted the most expensive small town in America a couple years back. And that was before the First Family said they'd be coming.)

While it may seem elitist in mid-recession to turn up at an exclusive resort, consider this: The Secret Service rejected some 20 other vacation spots before Blue Heron Farm got the seal of approval.

As the AP notes, the Obamas' visit is not as bad as you think—it actually adds to the rich history of the place: In the old days, black families vacationed on the island because they were unwelcome elsewhere. Now prominent African Americans who choose to spend their summers there include director Spike Lee, Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. (yes, that Henry Louis Gates), and Obama's Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett.

The cost of taking a week's vacation when you are the president is undoubtedly high. But the value of family time, we're sure, is priceless.

Obama Cares About Protesters?

I can't express in words how much I greatly admire those Iranians out risking their lives for their beliefs. It's amazing to watch such brave souls in action.

I'm so thankful for the protests that we are able to have here without fear for our lives.

At the same time though as I watched Mr. Obama speak today and weakly condemn the actions of the government against it's own people. It made me think of us here at home.

While we are worlds apart and like I said, we are not risking our lives, we have proof that our President doesn't take us seriously. I feel it's unbecoming of the Office of The President of The United States of America to call down his own citizens, as you can see Obama do in the video below.

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

From ABC News: "Father’s Day weekend for the Obama girls included a ride in the presidential motorcade to get frozen custard from The Dairy Godmother on Saturday afternoon. Twelve dark vehicles wound thru small side streets to the Del Ray section of Alexandria, Virginia, a suburb of Washington."

Cash for Clunkers Passes

Great news, Cash for Clunkers passes! (insert sarcasm) As Joe says, "It's time to be patriotic!" It's time to help our fellow American's buy a car. Oh, what's another four billion dollars anyways.

We put a band aid on GM and Chrysler by loaning them billions of tax payer dollars, part of which I'm sure was used to lobby for this bill. Now we are taking more taxpayer dollars and putting back into the car industry with the Cash for Clunkers. I guess since it's the government's business now, they have to bribe people to buy their products.

The article I read stated that "Dealers participating in the program would receive an electronic voucher from the government for the trade-in to apply to the purchase or lease of a qualifying vehicle. The bill directs dealers to ensure that the older vehicles are crushed or shredded to get the clunkers off the road."

I will be watching this closely as I'm wondering what dealers will be approved to take part in this program.

Change in Obama's Popularity

Yes, there are polls out today showing that the tides are changing and Obama's numbers are dropping. I've never put too much stock into polls though.

The trends I have noticed are on the internet; comments on news articles and blog comments. Amazingly unlike during the campaign the comments are more negative about how Obama is handling the issues that face our country.

As hard as the main stream media works to run positive stories and still give him a pass by not challenging him, the word is still getting out. From the looks of what I have seen the word on the street isn't good!

Does Obama seriously believe that he can spend more money than every president combined in the history of our country, blame Bush and we'll believe him? The media can help promote this ridiculous speak but the school systems haven't dumbed down America enough yet that we are buying it.

America's debt is becoming the biggest issue effecting Obama's popularity. I don't know an American that thinks it's cool to be in debt.

It was reported today that Obama, on the down low, ordered the FBI to start reading Miranda rights to to suspected terrorists at U.S. military detention facilities in Afghanistan.

The sad thing is that the average person probably can't even wrap there mind around just how corrupt the government is and we all know it's not just limited to Acorn. Thank goodness for the few brave souls that are willing to stand up and expose these things.

Any good man knows...

that when he breaks a promise trust is lost. To be honest I didn't have much trust in this guy to begin with but like an arranged marriage I have no choice but to put up with it. Honestly though when thrown into something it could go either way. He could dazzle you or he could show himself to be a total jerk.

I will be totally amazed if the Obama Stimulus Bill makes anything better and if it does I will be the first to admit it but in the meantime I, like so many other Americans, am twisted up about the whole deal.

Let's also not forget this great promise from "Presidential Candidate" Obama, about transparency, that just flew out the window not even thirty days into office. If he was someone I had just started dating I think this would have been what Dr. Phil calls a "deal breaker".
